chapel hill

first, this town is totally over. unless you are an undergrad, or maybe one of the rich doctors who are chief of this or that at the hospital, it really has nothing going for it. the town council knows this too, i believe the manager said that the town has not lost its mojo, but tell that to every other store front on franklin st that sits empty. its too bad really, its in a great area -raleigh/durham ranks on all those "Best places for young professionals, singles, families, etc" lists, and there is a ton of history, a little culture, and plenty of people willing to do stuff.

that is just a long prelude to tell you how bored i am lately. i think i spent half of every hour today (save the two that i sat at the dmv) checking the westminster website for results on the german shorthair pointer breed judging. really, i have nothing else to do here. the things i really enjoy now seem to be somewhere else and i am constantly chasing them down with the time and money i have, but only to have to relinquish them again come the next work cycle. it makes it hard to get a hold and really excel at anything.

i've tried a few things to not be so bored, and lonely for that matter, around here. but nothing works out, and considering how much i really love my "other lives" it makes it hard to like anything else.

if you're wondering, Ace won best of opposite at westminster. Meaning that a girl dog won the best in the breed, so that makes him the best of the opposite sex, so if for any reason the girl can't preform her duties as winner Ace would move in. The sporting group should lead off the tv broadcast at 8pm tonight.
