Regarding the Hudson river plane crash. The amazing thing is not that the pilot made heroic decisions in a few short seconds to land that plane safely, but that he had dedicated his entire life to training in the rare instance that he might need to know what to do.

that's very thoughtful. i think in some ways we all do this, right, or is it just me...always planning how i'd kill an intruder, get out of a burning house, get away from a carjacker...
